Installing the YZONA Rear Cargo Basket on a Ford Bronco
Why I Added the YZONA Cargo Basket
If you’ve spent time loading up a Bronco for a weekend trip, you know how quickly the cargo area disappears. Between camping gear, luggage, and recovery equipment, it’s tough to keep things organized. I wanted a solution that would expand usable space without turning installation into a half-day project.
The YZONA Rear Cargo Basket seemed like the perfect fit: bolt-on installation, 350 lbs of capacity, and a sturdy rope net to keep gear locked down. I ordered it on Amazon — and with one-day shipping, it was at my door the next afternoon.

Unboxing & First Impressions
The box arrived with a little bit of shipping damage, but everything inside was well-protected. Inside the packaging I found:
The main basket (wrapped in a heavy-duty plastic bag)
Two side brackets
Hardware and washers
Elastic rope cargo net with hooks
Instruction manual
Everything was foam-packed, though I noticed it wasn’t padded along the outer edges. Thankfully, there were no scratches or damage on the rack itself.
Construction felt immediately solid — the steel frame has a textured finish that helps prevent slipping and adds a nice rugged look.
Install Process
Installation takes place inside the Bronco. I used the tool kit that came with the vehicle and had the basket fully mounted in about 15 minutes. Here’s the step-by-step:
Remove the factory bolts. There are three on each side in the cargo area.
Install the brackets. They need to be oriented with the mounts pointing upward. One downside: they don’t sit perfectly flush because they ride slightly over the rear rubber seal. Not a dealbreaker, but worth noting.
Set the basket in place. Align it with the brackets.
Secure with hardware. The order is spring washer → flat washer → rack → flat washer → nut. Tighten everything down.
Once installed, the basket was rock solid — no wiggle or rattle.
Features & Build Quality
350 lbs load capacity — plenty for duffels, coolers, or recovery kits
Laser-cut high-strength steel — strong with a textured finish
Corrosion-resistant coating — rated up to 8 years under normal use
Bolt-on install — no drilling or modifications required
Elastic rope net included — secures gear during travel
Fitment: 2021–2025 Ford Bronco 4-door hardtop (excludes Sport & soft tops)
Trail Test & Real-World Use
I loaded it up for a weekend trip and was impressed. The basket helped me stay organized and gave me room for more gear than usual. Best of all, there were no creaks, squeaks, or rattles — even on rough roads.
The only downside? The included cargo net hooks feel a little flimsy and oversized. They work, but I may swap them for carabiners for a more secure fit. Otherwise, the basket performed flawlessly.
Pros & Cons
Pros:
Quick 15-minute install
Huge boost in storage capacity
Strong and durable build quality
Includes cargo net
Clean fit for 4-door Broncos
